BOOK REVIEW: Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane

This book took me a little while to get into but I’m glad I stuck with it! Urban Fantasy is completely new to me and this is the first book I have read in the genre.

Once I got past the strange character names and the alternative reality I began to appreciate the world Kane has created.   The main character Chess is a witch with a drug problem and soon finds herself in a whole heap of trouble.  By the end I was left wanting to read more and it’s a good job as this is the first in a series of three books.  Unholy Ghosts is a wonderfully imagined book with some great characters and I look forward to seeing how they get on in the upcoming Downside Ghost books.
